Why hello there! We’ve been avoiding this blog unintentionally.. is it because we don’t want to talk about break-ups and exes? Is it our attention span on the topic?? Is it a secret third thing??? (Like this being our third blog post)
Who the hell knows!
But let’s get right into it.
Look, we’ve all been there. Heartbreak so intense we to want to change skins, upgrade our avatar, become a completely — different — person. See: Knight of Wands
And for some of us, that means walking right into a tattoo shop, sitting in the chair, and letting the needle become your therapist for the hour.
Honestly, we think there's something beautiful, ugly, and even exhilarating about the moment we turn that raging inferno inward. This is a key moment when the story stops becoming about THEM and the scope is back on us.
Once that external energetic plug is gone (aka your ex) there’s all of this leaking energy, unsure of where, or who, to channel it to. That one drastic change we make to our appearance, is an initiation into the new era we so desperately yearn for.
Now to some, going as far as getting some new ink or piercing a hole into your body after a breakup is irrational.
And to that we say, use your discernment, always! Don’t go poking holes in your body JUST because you have a hole in your heart, thinking it’ll be a magic potion. Most importantly, DON'T BLAME US.
But the truly irrational thing would be to not take advantage of your own power, your own essence, your own creative direction.
This is your redemption arc, your knight of wands. Own the transformation, and take care of yourself.
